This is the first modern edition of the complete opus of songs and duets by Francesca Caccini, published in 1618.
In addition to the newly edited score of each of the 36 songs, original Italian and Latin texts with English translations are included. An introduction and extensive editorial notes, along with copies of some facsimile pages, helps the performer understand the procedures for publishing this important collection.
