This edition contains the final ten pieces of Francesca Caccini's Il Primo Libro delle Musiche, published in 1618. These short pieces are denoted as Canzonette in the contents of the book. Two of the pieces have original alfabeto symbols, indicating chords for baroque guitar; all of the pieces are written with lightly figured basso continuo.
